Tonight Show Highlights

Last night’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno had a cold open, and it was actually pretty decent:

Here were my favorite monologue jokes:

Here’s something you never think about. Before the Super Bowl is played they make up the “Super Bowl Champion” jerseys for both teams. They make thousands of them for both teams so that no matter who wins they’re ready with stuff to sell. After the game the Ravens jerseys went on sale. But the jerseys that say “49’ers Super Bowl Champions” were donated to countries in Africa and South America. Which is good news cause those people are really getting tired of wearing those “President Romney” t-shirts.

It’s being reported that the Justice Department has concluded that that the president can order drone strikes on American citizens. Today Rush Limbaugh came out in favor of Obamacare.

The five hundred year-old bones of King Richard have been discovered under a parking lot in England. Interesting fact: King Richard was known as the hunchback king. That’s why they found him in a parking lot; they were using him as a speed bump.

The price of gasoline is at an all-time record high for this time of year. Gas is so expensive Donald Trump is now carpooling with Bill Maher.

Connecticut police arrested a seventy one year-old woman for prostitution. You know how they caught her? This is kinda sad. When she used her Life Alert she pressed it and yelled, “Help, I’ve gone down and I can’t get up.”

The comedy segment was Dealing With The Public. It’s had enough funny moments to recommend checking out:

Tim McGraw was the first couch guest. He is a country singer. The interview was very good. Tim was down-to-earth, honest and told amusing stories. I appreciated his willingness to openly discuss his alcoholism, his sobriety and his new fitness. Here’s the interview:

Bar Refaeli was the second couch guest. She is a model who was recently in a Go Daddy commercial. The interview was fine. Bar was pleasant, had a good sense of humor and told some interesting stories. Here’s the interview:

Tim McGraw was the musical guest as well. He gave a nice performance.

Enjoyable show. I give it:
