Late Late Show Highlights

The cold open from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was goofy and just entertaining enough to recommend:

There was basically only one joke in the monologue. This was it:

There was a major highway that had to be closed yesterday in England because a truck overturned. And the truck was filled with instant mash potatoes. And I was thinking there must be a joke in this, but I couldn’t think of one. But I’m thinking thank God this didn’t happen in Los Angeles, cause we’d be like, “Oh no! Carbs! Carbs are falling. Quick, someone overturn a truck full of kale.”

The comedy segment bit was “Tweetmail”. It’s completely not worth wasting your time on.

Alfred Molina was the first couch guest. He is on the upcoming television show Matador. The interview was fine. Alfred was friendly, had a nice sense of humor and shared some amusing tidbits. It was obvious that Craig and Alfred enjoyed chitchatting with each other. There was nothing wrong with their exchange, but at the same time there wasn’t very exciting about it either.

Moon Bloodgood was the second couch guest. She’s on the show Falling Skies. The interview was good. Moon was outgoing, spirited and fun. I enjoyed her confidence and fearlessness. She understands who she is, speaks her mind and has nothing to be embarrassed about. I wondered for a little while why I decided to recommend watching this interview over Alfred Molina’s, considering the topics of conversation were on par with each other. It was Moon’s energy. She just radiated better. Here’s the interview:

There was no closing segment.

Decent show. I give it:
