Late Show Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Show with David Letterman:

Here’s a topic I don’t care about. Maybe you’ll care about it. Remember the TV show Gilligan’s Island? They’re making a movie out of Gilligan’s Island. The out of touch millionaire will be played by Mitt Romney.

The comedy segment bit was Dave once again promoting his new book. It was a complete waste of four minutes.

Shannon Eis was Dave’s first guest. She is the Late Show Toy and Technology Expert. She typically stops by during the summer and right before Christmas to talk about a handful of fun and interesting toys. This segment is always very entertaining thanks to Letterman’s dark wit and Shannon’s unlimited patience:

Ben Stiller was the only couch guest. He directs and stars in the upcoming film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The interview was good. Ben was friendly, mellow and told some amusing stories. He admitted he was jet lagged, so he wasn’t very energetic. No worries, however, cause Dave was in a goofy mood after playing with toys and more than made up for Ben’s exhaustion. Here’s the interview:

Brett Dennen was the musical guest. He gave a nice performance.

Fine show. I give it:
