Conan Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:
Oprah was shopping in Switzerland recently. A Swiss clerk refused to show her a thirty-eight thousand dollar purse because she didn’t think Oprah could afford it. To prove a point, Oprah bought Switzerland.
The executives at Blackberry are considering selling off the company. It’s being called a “very lucrative move” by Six Years Ago magazine.
The comedy segment was Stars for Snakes. It was ok, but I don’t think you need to spend your time watching it.
Val Kilmer was the first couch guest. He stars in the upcoming one-man show Citizen Twain. The interview was good. Val was nice, mellow and told some amusing stories. He’s had a really interesting acting career. I wish the segment had been longer so that he could have talked about it more. I felt, though, that Conan did a pretty decent job covering as many bases as he could with the time he had. Here were my favorite parts of the interview:
Amber Heard was the second couch guest. She is in the new film Paranoia. The interview was fine. Amber was friendly and had a good sense of humor. While she did nothing wrong, I had a hard time staying interested in her. For some reason I just couldn’t connect with her. Maybe you’ll have better luck. Here’s the first half of the interview:
Paramore was the musical guest. They did a nice job.
Enjoyable show. I give it:
