Conan Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:
Today, Jason Collins of the Washington Wizards announced that he is gay. He said, “I don’t know what’s been tougher on my family: announcing I’m gay or announcing that I play for the Washington Wizards.”
It’s the first active NBA player in history to come out as gay. Now the Lakers want to sign him so they’ll have someone who knows how to score with men.
The other day Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer had shoulder surgery for an injury he received after falling off his bike. Fox News reports that the accident happened when the Justice drifted a little too far to the left.
In a new interview Mike Tyson reveals his ex-girlfriend cooked and ate his pet pigeon in front of him. Yeah, but Tyson said she also had a dark side.
The comedy segment was Audience Member Theme Songs. It was silly, but I enjoyed it:
Brad Garrett was the first couch guest. He stars on the show How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life. The interview was great. Brad was very funny and told some interesting stories. I’m sure some of it was from his stand-up, but he was so smooth and professional about it that I didn’t even notice until thinking about it while writing this review. Here’s most of the interview:
Amy Schumer was the second couch guest. She has her own show called Inside Amy Schumer. The interview was good. Amy has a dry sense of humor that I really like. My issue, however, was how obvious it was when she started telling jokes from her stand-up routine. It’s too bad she didn’t just make it up as the conversation with Conan went along, because that was her strongest stuff. I recommend the first few minutes of the first-half of the interview:
Old Crow Medicine Show was the musical guest. They were awesome:
Really entertaining show. I give it:
