Conan Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:
In Florida, the lines for early voting are nine hours long. Which is too bad, cause it’s Florida and a lot of those people don’t have nine hours.
In Ohio yesterday a man who heckled President Obama was carried away by four police officers. Yeah, not cause he was a danger, but because anytime you carry a person from Ohio you need four people.
This weekend, Bristol Palins’ baby-daddy, Levi Johnston, married the mother of his new baby, and he wore camouflage at the ceremony. I guess Levi wanted his wife and new baby to get used to not seeing him.
The comedy segment was Celebrity Survey. It was ok enough to recommend:
Sarah Silverman was the first couch guest. She’s in the new film Wreck-It Ralph. The interview was great. Sarah was entertaining with her dark humor and commanding presence. I’m a big fan of Sarah and it was fun to watch her make Conan a tad uncomfortable. Here’s the interview:
Warning: The first video may not be safe for work:
Brian Austin Green was the second couch guest. He is on the new show Wedding Band. The interview was fine, but not very interesting. Brian was a cool guy and Conan was funny, but they just didn’t seem to gel, and that caused the interview to never get into any kind of appealing rhythm. Here’s a clip:
Father John Misty was the musical guest. He was ok. He has a nice voice, but I didn’t get his performance.
Very good show. I give it:
