Tonight Show Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Congratulations to President Obama on being re-elected President of the United States. But, it turns out it’s not all bad news for the Republicans – seems depression is covered by Obamacare.

The President announced today that he is not going to raise taxes on the entire 1%, just Donald Trump.

I thought Mitt Romney was very gracious last night. He gave a very sincere and touching concession speech. And the good news for Romney is he can still run for president of the Cayman Islands.

Exit polls show that President Obama did well with women, beating Romney by eleven binders.

The comedy segment was Photo Both. It was quite entertaining. The video doesn’t setup the premise, however. There’s a phony photo booth in Universal Studios that offers free photos. The booth is rigged with hidden cameras and voiced by stand-up comedian Kira Soltanovich:

Daniel Craig was the first couch guest. He stars in the new James Bond film Skyfall. Overall the interview was pretty good. I didn’t like the first-half too much, as Leno’s topics of conversation were all over the place. The second-half was much more interesting and enjoyable because it focused on the Bond character and the new movie. Daniel was cool and reserved, which considering he’s English doesn’t surprise me. Here’s the second part of the interview:

Dave Salmoni was the second couch guest. He is an animal expert and tv personality. The interview was excellent.  Dave was friendly and did a nice job, but let’s face it, the real stars of the segment were the animals. They were adorable and fun. I admired Jay’s ability to play with the animals despite the danger of being attacked and not freak out when he was chewed on a little bit. Here’s the interview:

Diamond Rings was the musical guest. He was ok.

Great show. I give it:
