Late Late Show Highlights
The cold open from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was terrific:
Here were my favorite monologue jokes:
The Rolling Stones have announced they are touring again. The tickets just went on sale. A lot of fans, though, are angry. They’re saying they’re charging too much for tickets. It’s somewhere in the hundreds, not the price of the tickets, the fans.
Everyone’s talking about the debate so there’s no one covering the other really big story: the Dutch art heist. 100 million dollars’ worth of priceless art was stolen in Holland. Although, if it’s a “100 million dollars’ worth of priceless art,” it’s 100 million dollars’ worth of art, it’s not priceless, right? Anyway, this is the most exciting thing to happen in a museum since that time all the exhibits came to life and chased Ben Stiller around.
The comedy segment was tweetmail. Once again it wasn’t very entertaining. I wish Craig would spend more time answering tweets and emails from viewers instead of talking to Jeff in funny voices. The segment just hasn’t been as amusing lately.
Carson Kressley was the first couch guest. He is a fashion expert, tv personality and author. The interview was great. Carson was full of positive energy and fun. He and Craig are very good friends, so their conversation flowed easily and was enjoyable to watch. Here’s the interview:
was the second couch guest. She’s the host of the Sirius XM radio show Livin’ The Fantasy. The interview was fine. Kay was nice, but seemed rather guarded the entire time. She didn’t appear willing to just relax and have fun. Craig tried his best to develop some kind of connection with her, but apparently she wasn’t interested.
The closing segment was different:
An OK show. I give it:
