Late Late Show Highlights
The cold open from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was ok. It had its moments for sure, but I think it can be skipped.
Here were my favorite monologue jokes:
You know what happened today? At the office I got a letter from a fan. So I was like, “Oh, wow, that’s unbelievable.” I looked at it and it said on the front “The Late Night Show with Chris Ferguson.” And I said, “Wow, I’ve got a fan!”
It’s a great day for the Twilight star Kristen Stewart. It was reviled that she is Hollywood’s highest paid actress. Last year she made 35 million dollars. If you break that down it works out to 35 million dollars for every emotion she can play.
Not only is it a great day for America, it’s a hot day in America. Not here in LA. Here it was just 70 degrees with a heavy douchebag advisory. That’s every day though. In New York it was 102 degrees. That’s the first time all year the temperature in Manhattan has been higher than the age of Barbara Walters.
The entire Northeast section of the country was very hot today. How hot was it? It was so hot New Yorkers fired Mayor Bloomberg and hired Mayor Iceberg. It was so hot Lance Armstrong injected himself with cold lemonade.
The comedy segment was tweetmail. It was terrific. Craig was in solid form.
Morgan Freeman was the only couch guest. He’s in the upcoming film The Magic of Belle Isle. The interview was pretty good. I really like Morgan, I think he’s a great actor and a great person. Craig and Morgan’s interaction was fun to watch, but my favorite parts were between Morgan and Geoff. Here’s the interview:
Ben Dukes was the musical guest. He was ok.
The closing segment was pretty funny. I enjoyed it:
Entertaining show. I give it:
