Late Night Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:
Tiger Woods joined Twitter today. He said he decided to finally try Twitter. He wanted to say more but he had to give half of his 140 characters to Elin nordegren.
Warren Brothers announced that it wants to remake The Wizard of Oz. This version is going to be totally updated for 2010. For instance, in this one each one of the flying monkeys has to be patted down and go through a body scanner before they can take off.
A woman says she will have sex with Germany’s President, Christian Wulff, if he votes against the plan to extend the country’s nuclear reactors. Wulff called the offer, “insulting,” “degrading,” and “just to be sure can I see a picture?”
The desk segments were Late Night Hashtags and Harry Potter Super Fan Contest. The Harry Potter segment was awful. Hashtags was decent enough to recommend:
Amanda Peet was the first couch guest. She is currently staring on Broadway in The Break of Noon. I like Amanda a lot. I think she’s a great actress and lights up whatever room she happens to be in. The interview was entertaining, but the clips they posted aren’t that good, so I’m skip showing them.
Peter Krause was the second couch guest. He stars on the show Parenthood. The interview was really good. Peter was funny and told great stories. Here’s a perfect example:
Rascal Flatts was the musical guest. I had hoped they were going to rock out a little, but the song was pretty mellow. It was still enjoyable regardless.
It was an ok show. I give it:
