Late Show Highlights

So, yeah, I reviewed an episode of the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, I know. For some reason I just felt like doing another one. Here were my favorite monologue jokes:

You know the show Law & Order? You folks watch that? Cancelled. As a result pretend murders are up thirty-three percent.

Another show canceled right here at CBS: The Ghost Whisperer.  Every week the ghost whisperer would run errands for dead people. This week she’s trying to find a job for Arlen Specter.

Eliot Spitzer may get his own show on CNN. That’ll be a switch; someone paying him for an hour.

The desk segment included a tale of fishing with his son and the Top Ten Spoilers for the “Lost” Finale, presented by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. It was a funny segment:

Johnny Ace Palmer was the first couch guest. Johnny is the latest magician for Close-up Magic Week. Man, he’s fast. Check out what he can with a couple of coins and some thread:

Russell Brand was the second couch guest. He’s in the new film Get Him to the Greek. I really like Russell and think he’s hilarious. He’s been on Letterman a few times before and his interviews are always a lot of fun to watch. This time was no exception. In this clip he talks about the two days he spent in Camp Pendleton with the US Marine Corps:

Stone Temple Pilots was the musical guest. They’re still cranking out the rock.

Good show. I give it:
