That’s Some Powerful Stuff
We’re celebrating our 200th WAH strip today with everybody’s favorite former Canadian minor league hockey player, Crowbar Benson.
An alert buddy of mine sent me a link to an interview with Bill Carter (no relation). His upcoming book, The War for Late Night, is about the Leno/Conan debacle at NBC. Bill is also the author of Late Shift, which documented the war between Leno and Letterman for The Tonight Show. It’s an interesting piece.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Man, I didn’t know that Canadian Beer was so potent. Or is it Canadien beer? I get just as confused as Woody.
That stuff is so potent even I was able to see it. Could you imagine all the stuff Woody would be able to see if he washed down some authentic Canadian Bacon with some of that Canadian Beer.
Canadian Beer, changing vowels since 1668. Don’t believe me about the year, look it up. First Brewery in Canada – 1668, and no one’s been talkin’ the same since, eh.
Speakin’ of brew, do you remember “Strange Brew” from SCTV and later became a movie, Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, great comedic duo.
@George Ya–somehow I imagine Woody’s capacity for drinking is as good as it is for spelling.
@Todd I can definitely see this devolving into a Strange Brew moment with Woody as Moranis and Crowbar as Thomas.
Congrats on your 200th, dude!
Totally hilarious strip for your 200th. Love, love it. Congrats!
@Rembrand, @Lisa, Thanks!
Congratulations on 200 strips guys!
Good postmodern strip with important self-referential iconography. And 200 — rivaling the number of strips for Gypsy Rose Lee!
Congratulations on 200 updates. Keep’em coming.
Canadien beer has nothing on German beer.
That was the Wendy’s guy?
