Not Even A Ghost Of A Chance

They say that with the first of June so shall a Tara Normal return. Don’t you worry about who “they” are, just trust me like you trust the internet to give you objective and unbiased views.

They also say that behind every great Tara there is an even greater Howie. Actually, only one person says that, his name is Greg and he lives in Utah. Regardless, here is the part one of my interview with the man who helps pack Tara’s fists with extra yummy punch: Howie Noeldechen.

WAH: What was going on in your life professionally and personally when you initially decided that you wanted to create and publish a webcomic?

HN: After some drama with publishing a comic series of my graphic novel, Mr. Scootles I decided to share the comic online via Drunk Duck. I loved the immediate response and feedback I received so after Mr. Scootles was published as graphic novel a webcomic would be my next project.

WAH: What pop culture influences helped you to construct your theme and characters?

HN: I’m influenced by anything I’ve ever loved growing up. My friends on the SyFy show Ghost Hunters are a huge influence when creating Tara Normal. All of the movies that used to play on USA’s Commander USA Groovie Movies show when I was a kid influence my comic. This comic represents everything I’m into.

More Tara, and Howie, on Friday.
