I think that would be my initial reaction, too. Now way she could have a real head on her hands.
This strip is about the deep ambiguity of reality vs. illusion. We are trapped in a world of illusion, yet reality is the greatest illusion of all. Or is it that illusion the greatest reality? Whatever. I do know this — I would not poke that head.
