Dressed To Code
I’m happy to report that I have turned a mature corner. No more diet soda and gummy candy for me, that’s kid stuff. I’ve developed an appreciation for the finer, more grown-up things that our humanity has to offer. I’ve begun this new chapter in my life by subscribing to two of the most influential magazines available on the important subjects of wine and cheese:
I’m a decently big fan of Justin Pierce’s comic Wonderella. I really enjoy the concept, art and dark humor. If you haven’t given the comic a try I totally recommend it.
I received the Wonderella books only a few days after I ordered them. They look terrific. The size of each volume is perfect and the art translated very well to print. Here are some example pages:
Justin really nailed it on the head when he said, “Why read for free what you can buy?”
I also received some terrific extras with each volume. First, Justin was kind enough to include a sketch in each one. I’m pretty confident this personalized art has instantly doubled the value of the books. I’ll confirm that when they’re auctioned off at Sothebys next month:
Second, each book came with its very own Wonderella bookmark:
And finally, since I purchased both book together, I got a mostly crisp twenty dollar bill, a staple remover, a CompactFlash card and a bottle opener.
I can’t guarantee that all of these extras will be available when you order your copies. So hurry and get them as soon as possible before time runs out.
