Jimmy Kimmel Live! Highlights

Jimmy Kimmel Live! did something pretty unique last night: they used hologram technology to have guests from the Country Music Awards in Nashville on the show. I’m sure it was pretty impressive live, but it lost some of its luster through the television camera. Regardless, kudos to JKL! for going where no late-night talk show has gone before.

Here were my favorite monologue jokes and bits:

Yesterday was Election Day. There were a number of pot-related items on state ballots. Remarkably, the very liberal state of California still has not legalized marijuana for recreational use. Although, due to the drought we’re having here, we are considering making it legal to drink bong water.

Republicans picked up a lot of seats and won control of both chambers of Congress yesterday, which is key because whoever controls Congress controls the lunch menu at the congressional cafeteria.

The comedy segment bit was “3 Ridiculous Questions with Jimmy Kimmel and Brad Paisley.” It was decent enough to recommend:

Julie Bowen was the first couch guest. She is on the show Modern Family. interview was good. Julie was vivacious, jovial and shared some amusing stories. I think she expends more energy every minute then I do in an entire day. Normally, the whole interview would be worth watching. Due to the high number of clips worthy of your time, however, I’m just going to post my favorite part of the segment:

Kacey Musgraves was the second couch guest. She is a musician who appeared via hologram from the CMAs. It was an interesting experience:

Florida Georgia Line was the musical guest. They performed via hologram from Nashville as well. They were fine.

Neat show. I give it:
