Late Night Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Night with Seth Meyers:
In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Hillary Clinton said that she would make her decision on running for president by the end of the year – specifically, the year 1998.
This weekend California Chrome failed to become the first Triple Crown winner in thirty six years. If there’s any bright side to this, if there’s any bright side to this at all, it’s that he has no idea.
According to a new study, Florida is the most stressed-out state. I’m guessing some of the stress might be because the Florida state bird is a bullet.
The comedy segment bits were “Seth’s Story,” “Seth’s Quiet Moment” and “Extreme Dog Shaming,” They were all silly, but not enough to recommend watching.
Steve Buscemi was the first couch guest. He stars on the show Boardwalk Empire and the web series Park Bench. The interview was good. Steve was nice, modest and shared some amusing tidbits. I’ve been a fan of Steve’s work for a long time. I think he’s a talented actor who has played a lot of unique and terrific roles. Here’s the interview:
Jake Tapper was the second couch guest. He is the anchor of The Lead with Jake Tapper. The interview was great. Jake was friendly, funny and told some interesting stories. I really enjoyed the topics of conversation and the banter between Seth and Jake. Everything flowed really well. In the middle of the interview Jake drew a caricature of Seth, which was timely considering we recently did one of him as well. Here’s the interview:
Sia was the musical guest, kinda. She hid in a bed while Lena Dunham did an interpretive dance. It was… different, and once again proves that Lena has more balls then I ever will:
Fine show. I give it:
