Conan Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:

After the recent prisoner exchange, Obama’s approval rating with Americans has fallen to its lowest point so far. On the bright side: his approval rating with the Taliban is through the roof.

Ford is teaming up with Heinz Ketchup to make car parts out of tomatoes. So it’s official: Americans will put ketchup on anything.

In New York City four strippers were arrested for drugging wealthy men and running their credit cards for thousands of dollars. The sad part is that wealthy men may never be able to trust strippers again.

The comedy segment bit was “Clueless Gamer.” Ordinarily, this segment isn’t worth the eight to ten minutes to watch unless you’re a hardcore gamer, but this one was incredibly entertaining and can be enjoyed regardless of video game aptitude:

Jack White was the first couch guest. His new album is Lazaretto. The interview was great. Jack was friendly, easygoing and shared some laughs. He and Conan have been buddies for a while, and the closeness of their friendship was readily apparent in their casual conversation. Here’s the interview:

Amber Stevens was the second couch guest. She is in the film 22 Jump Street. The interview was good. Amber was pleasant, engaged and told some amusing stories. I liked how outgoing she was. Here’s the interview:

Jack White returned as the musical guest. He and his posse played two songs:

An almost flawless show. I give it:
