Conan Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:

Happy Passover. Passover is the time every year when I’m forced to spend eight days and eight nights writing all my own jokes.

Over the weekend the current Pope and the former Pope had lunch together. The waiter who served them said they spent the whole time bitching about their boss.

During his trip to the Middle East, President Obama helped restore Israel’s relationship with Turkey. Now on to the final hurdle: restoring Israel’s relationship with pork.

Officials say the winner of a 338 million dollar Powerball ticket bought it at a New Jersey liquor store. It’s being called the first time in history the word “winner” has described someone at a New Jersey liquor store.

The comedy segment was coffee Table Books That Didn’t Sell. It was just barely entertaining enough to recommend watching:

Magic Johnson was the first couch guest. He is an NBA legend and one of the owners of the LA Dodgers. The interview was great. Magic falls into the category of perfect late-night guest. He talks intelligently, has a great sense of humor, loves to laugh and tells interesting stories. Most guests have some of these qualities, but few have all of them. Magic is one of them. Here is most of the interview:

Thandie Newton was the second couch guest. She stars in the new show Rogue. The interview was really good. Thandie was very pleasant, a lot of fun and told some amusing stories. It was a pleasure getting to know her better. Here’s most of the interview:

Langhome Slim & The Law was the musical guest. They gave a nice performance.

Enjoyable show. I give it:
