Late Late Show Highlights

The cold open from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson wasn’t anything special so we’re going to skip it.

Here were my favorite monologue jokes:

I’m glad that Brave won for Best Animated Feature. Now I can say I’ve been in an Oscar-winning movie. And, I only had to do about two hours’ worth of work; I didn’t even have to wear pants. Take that Daniel Day-Lewis, you had to put on a hat you loser.

With all the gossip and the fashion and the popularity contests the Oscars, of course, is a little bit like high school. And just like high school, I wasn’t there.

I didn’t watch the Oscars; I was traveling. I have to admit, though, I did watch some of the red carpet stuff…only about five or six hours. I really enjoyed looking at the gorgeous dresses and the handbags and the jewelry, and when I was done picking out my outfit I turned on the TV.

The comedy segment was Tweetmail. It provided some decent entertainment:

Keith Olbermann was the first couch guest. He is a journalist and writer. The interview was good. Keith was nice and told some amusing stories. He and Craig had a lot of fun together and it was entertaining to watch. Here’s the interview:

Coco Rocha was the second couch guest. She is a model. The interview was fine. Coca was pleasant and told an interesting story or two. Craig threw her some curve ball questions, but she handled them well and was a good sport about it. The interview also includes the closing segment, which was unique:

The closing segment starts at the seven minute mark in the video above.

Enjoyable show. I give it:

– Woody
