Late Night Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:
The White House’s immigration plan was leaked over the weekend, and Florida senator Marco Rubio is already calling it dead on arrival. Which, incidentally, is also Florida’s state motto.
Yesterday NBA legend Michael Jordon turned fifty years old. Scottie Pippen actually helped him blow out his candles, but nobody seemed to notice.
A judge in California announced that Kim Kardashians’ divorce trial from Kris Humphries will begin on May sixth, while the pre-show on E! will begin March first.
The comedy segments were On The Brightside and Freestylin’ with The Roots. The Freestylin’ segment was more entertaining, but it’s not available, so I’m afraid we’ll have to make do with the also-ran:
Artie Lange was the first couch guest. He’s a comedian and host of the radio program The Artie Lange Show. The interview was good. Artie pretty much just performed some of his stand-up bits, but they were funny and interesting for the most part. Here’s the second half of the interview, which probably isn’t safe for work unless you’re listening with headphones on:
Alison Brie was the second couch guest. She is on the shows Mad Men and Community. The interview was fine. Alison was pleasant, energetic and had a good sense of humor. She held her own very well in-between Jimmy and Artie. Here’s the last third of the interview:
Tame Impala was the musical guests. They gave a nice performance.
Amusing show. I give it:
