Late Late Show Highlights

The cold open from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was ok, but we’re going to skip it.

Craig’s monologue was very amusing. Picking out individual jokes wouldn’t do it justice, so I recommend watching the entire segment. A word of warning, if you don’t like A Christmas Carol or male genitalia, then you’re gonna wanna take a pass:

The comedy segments A Sean Connery Holiday Memory, banter with Geoff and tweetmail. There were all terrible.

Judd Apatow was the first couch guest. He wrote and directed the new film This Is 40. The interview was decent, but not very entertaining. Craig and Judd spent the entire time discussing some of the things men experience while growing older. They tried to keep the conversation light and funny, and I appreciated them just talking about whatever stuff popped into their heads, but the whole thing definitely lacked excitement. This clip basically does the job of summarizing the entire segment:

Joanne Froggatt was the second couch guest. She is on the show Downton Abby. The interview was fine. Joanne was nice and had a good sense of humor. I’m not sure if the interview is strong enough to suggest sitting through, but here it is anyway:

The closing segment was too quick to care about.

Mediocre show. I give it:
