Late Night Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:
People magazine announced that Channing Tatum is 2012’s Sexiest Man Alive. While Florida will announce their results sometime next week.
This David Patraeus scandal is insane. In a weird twist today it was revealed a jogger recently found the driver’s license of Patraeus’ mistress, Paula Broadwell, in a park. He knew it was her driver’s license cause under ‘Sex’ it said, “Lots, with David Patraeus.”
The president of Microsoft Windows is stepping down after 23 years with the company. His resignation letter just said “Crtl+Alt+Delete.”
The comedy segments were Animal Thoughts and Let Us Play With Your Look. They were both entertaining enough to recommend checking out if you’ve got the time:
Chris Tucker was the first couch guest. He is in the new film Silver Linings Playbook. The interview was great. Chris was his typical charismatic, energetic and funny self. I really enjoy Chris’ sense of humor, he always makes me laugh. I would have been fine if he had been the show’s only guest. Here are the first two-thirds of the interview. The final third isn’t available for some reason, which is annoying because it includes Fallon and Tucker dancing together on stage.
Kellan Lutz was the second couch guest. He is in the new movie Twilight film Breaking Dawn Part 2. The interview was ok. Kellan was nice and everything, but I just could not find him interesting. His attempts at humor were lame and his stories were boring.
Jonathan Beckerwas the third couch guest. He is a professional photographer. The interview was good because Jonathan was fascinating, but it would have been a lot better if Fallon had keep his mouth shut more often. I was very annoyed watching Jonathan continuously trying to answer a question only to be interrupted before being able to finish a sentence or a story. Guests deserve better, and Fallon’s interviewing skills should be farther along than that by now. Here’s the interview:
Electric Guest was the musical guest. They were fine.
Decent show. I give it:
