Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan.
Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. day. A day everyone in my studio audience decided to celebrate by seeing the whitest man on television.
John Huntsman announced he is bowing out of the race. In his withdrawal speech John Huntsman called on the other candidates to end toxic politics and stop negative attacks. Then he said, “especially that fat prick Newt Gingrich.”
In a new interview Madonna accused Lady Gaga of ripping her off. Which is unfair, cause we don’t know yet if Lady Gaga is going to grow old ungracefully.
The desk segment was Fan Corrections. It was damn hilarious:
Kate Beckinsale was the first couch guest. She’s in the films Contraband and Underworld: Awakening. The interview was great. Kate was beautiful, funny, raunchy and told some good stories. This clip references male genitalia a lot, so it may not be safe for work:
Stephen Merchant was the second couch guest. He’s a writer, actor and comedian who is currently on tour. The interview was very entertaining. Stephen is a funny guy. Here’s a clip:
St. Vincent was the musical guest. She was good, especially because she started with a tribute to Elvis Costello’s 1977 appearance on SNL before playing her own song:
