Late Show Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Show with David Letterman:
George W Bush, former President, got his new memoir coming out in November and it’s called Decision Points. It’s about big decisions in his life. And I’ve already made the decision not to buy it.
How many of you folks are here for the show just because you’re hiding from the Arizona police?
You’re not going to believe whose birthday is today. Jay Leno’s birthday [is] today. Happy birthday Jay Leno. Jay Leno is sixty years old today, and, I heard, very unhappy. And you think, “Really, on your birthday you’d be unhappy?” Apparently, yes. You know why? He wanted Conan’s birthday.
The desk segments were pretty entertaining. The first clip contains Dave’s story about being on Regis and Kelly Lee this morning, followed by Small Town News. The second clip is Top Ten signs Your Governor is Nuts.
Robert Downey Jr was the only couch guest. He stars in the upcoming film Iron Man 2. Overall the interview was fine. Robert admitted from the start that he was intimated by Dave, which explained why he seemed so nervous in the beginning. He calmed a little during the commercial, which made the second part of the interview the best in my opinion:
The third part of the interview was the Iron Man 2 trailer.
OK Go was the musical guest. Their performance was good. If you’d like to hear the song they played and watch a kick-ass video at the same time then check this out:
Good show. I give it:
– Woody
