Jimmy Kimmel Live! Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live:
Over on the Fox network this evening the return of their annual telethon Idol Gives Back. I was hoping what they were planning to give back was the hundred or so hours I wasted watching American Idol. But they didn’t.
They did raise a lot of money though. Ryan Seacrest personally donated more than five thousand gallons of hair gel to the children of Rwanda. Bill and Melinda Gates were on the show. They built a hospital in Africa made entirely out of unwanted Microsoft Zunes.
Ice Cube was the first couch guest. He has a new album and a new show on TBS coming out. He also directed Straight Outta L.A. for ESPN. I’ve been a fan of Ice Cube every since he stared in Boyz n the Hood, which is on my list of top favorite movies. The interview was pretty good. In this clip he talks about the LA Raiders and their influence on N.W.A.:
Paula Deen was the second couch guest. She owns a restaurant, has a line of cookbooks and hosts a show on the Food Network. Paula and Jimmy made Southern fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. The second half of the interview was more entertaining than the first half:
Rob Zombie was the musical guest. He gave a good performance. I’m not sure how he sings through all of his hair, but manages to accomplish it.
Good show. I give it:
– Woody
