Tonight Show Highlights

Last night’s Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien was a painful one. Not because it wasn’t funny, but because most of it focused on the concussion he received while taping Friday’s show. He’s ok though, and in true Conan style he’s already making fun of it. Here were my favorite monologue jokes and bits:

It’s very nice to be here tonight. As you may know on this past Friday’s show I was doing a stunt right here and I hit my head and suffered a concussion. And I promise folks, if you’re a very good audience, I’ll do it again tonight. [Audience applauds] Yeah, you want to see that? The hell is wrong with you people?

People have been asking me all weekend how bad it was. Folks, I’ll be honest with you, I hit my head so hard, that for five seconds I actually understood the plot of Lost.

In Egypt some people are really angry cause women have been using a device that allows them to fake being virgins. Yeah, the device is a box set of Star Trek DVDs.

The desk segment was Conan and Andy’s recap of Friday’s accident:

Drew Barrymore was the first couch guest. I really like Drew. She has a fun energy that makes her a perfect late night-type guest. She did a nice job of bonding with Conan over concussions while promoting her new movie at the same time:

Joe Talamo was the second couch guest. Joe is a jockey who at only nineteen has over 550 wins. Joe is a nice guy and the interview was good. If you’re a fan of horse racing then you’ll enjoy it even more:

Paramore was the musical guest. I’m a big fan of Paramore and really enjoyed hearing their new song. They rock, and they rock well.
