The “Wise” Part Hasn’t Started Yet
I spent the majority of my weekend in Bethesda, Maryland at the Small Press Expo. I checked things out, met some people, attended a couple of panels and bought things.
One of the peoples I met was Jeph Jacques. Jeph writes and illustrates Questionable Content, which is one of my favorite webcomics. This picture was taken about thirty seconds after we met:
Personally, I think we bonded.

Wait…that’s Jeph Jacques? I guess I’d never seen a picture of him before. He doesn’t quite look like the indy-music, comic artist you might expect. Dude looks like a friggin’ bouncer!
Yup, that’s Jeph. He’s big, but very nice. He was really cool about taking the picture. I haven’t washed my neck since.
We need more photos of us webcomic creators around. That way we can become celebrities that can cause uproars at grocery stores.
Bubble pipes are the shit!
Ha! Woody’s foot looks a little close to that fire. It takes a suave man to ignore burning flesh… especially his own.
Looks closely, the fire is cardboard, like the rest of the set… and I’m pretty sure Woody is made of the stuff as well.
Well look at the brightside. If Woody ever needs fiber, I’m sure there’s plenty to burn.
Not to mention cardboard is just fun to burn.
Impressive library.
