A Fully Baked Strategy
I’ve never worked at a bake sale. I know myself well enough to admit that there are a few barriers that I don’t think I could get around.
First, I’d have to bake something sweet and yummy that other people would want to buy. Well, if I’m going to do that, I’ll probably just end up eating it before it makes it to the sale. I mean, if it’s good enough for other people to buy, then it’s good enough for me to hoard and gobble up.
Second, it is simply unrealistic to sit me down at a table full of desserts and not expect me to sample each one. And by “sample” I mean devour. Some people have great willpower when it comes to food. I don’t. I do, however, have great willpower when it comes to earning a living.

That looks like a very sad and lonely bake sale.
What is that red thing? A pipe bomb?
And shouldn’t the sign say, “Bah, Wake Sale”?
I guess it’s not just librarians who need to have a bakesale.
