Conan Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:
The restaurant chain Salad Works has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Analysts contribute the failure to being a salad restaurant located in America.
The makers of a pill to boast woman’s libido is trying a third attempt at approval after two rejections. It’s designed for guys who are also making a third attempt after two rejections.
90’s rapper Vanilla ice has been arrested on burglary charges. Ice’s lawyers say they can prove their client’s innocence, but not his relevance.
The comedy segment bit was “Fan Corrections.” It made me chuckle:
Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher were the first couch guests. They are the stars of the show Two and a Half Men. The interview was good. Jon and Ashton were friendly, laid-back and told some funny stories. I thought they did well sharing the spotlight together; there was barely any interrupting or one-upping. It was all very lighthearted and comfortable. The entire interview is worth watching, but you’ll have to go to Teamcoco.com if you want to see it. Alternatively, you can watch these clips:
Sage Kotsenburg was the second couch guest. He is an Olympic gold medalist in snowboarding. The interview was fine. Sage was happy, casual and shared some amusing tidbits. The problem, for me, was that I just didn’t find Sage all the interesting or relatable. There’s no question he’s a cool kid with talent, but I’m definitely not his personal or professional demographic. So that took away some of the enjoyment of the segment.
Kristian Bush was the musical guest. I liked his performance:
Entertaining show. I give it:
