Late Late Show Highlights
The cold open from last night’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson had potential, but Craig either held back too much or just missed it entirely, so we’re gonna skip it.
Here were my favorite monologue jokes:
A man in San Francisco was arrested at the airport for impersonating a TSA agent so he could fondle women. Police knew there was something wrong when a man in San Francisco showed an interest in fondling women.
Congratulations to Britain’s Prince George. His royal tiny majesty had his first birthday this weekend. He had a lovely time, declared himself king of the bouncy castle and joined the queen for a game of “Pin the Tail on Camilla.”
Did you know Kim Kardashian now has 60 million followers on Instagram? That is a big-ass following.
The comedy segment bit was “Tweetmail”. It was mediocre, except for this hilarious minute and six seconds:
Octavia Spencer was the first couch guest. She’s in the film Snowpiercer and upcoming movie Get On Up. The interview was entertaining. Octavia was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed her sense of humor and openness. She and Craig had a relaxed conversation with plenty of laughs that kept me engaged the entire time. Here’s the interview:
Brad Goreski was the second couch guest. He’s a celebrity fashion stylist. The interview was good. Brad was friendly, mellow and shared some interesting tidbits. He and Craig actually had the kind of interview I wish all late-night talk show hosts and guests could have. There were reasonably deep questions and honest answers with respect and wit throughout. Here’s the interview:
The closing segment was quick and not worth worrying about.
Amusing show. I give it:
