Late Late Show Highlights
To help celebrate his new studio and set I thought I’d review another Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Let’s start with a terrific cold open:
Here were my favorite monologue jokes:
It’s a great day for America everybody. It’s a great day for Snooki. You know Snooki from the Jersey Snore. Snooki and her newborn were released from the hospital today. On the way out the doctors said, “Good luck caring for the helpless little creature,” and the baby was like, “I know.”
It’s a great day if you’re a Republican. The Republican National Convention is in full swing down there in Tampa. The biggest speech tonight was given by Paul Ryan, he’s Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential pick. For those of you who don’t know, Paul Ryan is a Congressman from Wisconsin, and, of course, the oldest son of Meg Ryan.
Paul Ryan was only twenty-nine when he was first elected to Congress. When I was twenty-nine I got my penis stuck in a Jacuzzi spigot. I guess every man makes his own path to greatness.
I can’t wait to see the debate between Paul Ryan and Joe Biden. Biden is rumored to be already trying out different strategies. So far the one that Obama likes best is the strategy where Biden pretends to have food poisoning and the debate is cancelled.
The comedy segment was tweetmail. It was hilarious:
Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the first couch guest. He is in the new film The Possession. The interview was great. Jeffrey was fun and engaging. He and Craig had a really good time hanging out and chatting about whatever came to mind. I don’t have the entire interview for you yet, but here’s a clip:
Nick Griffin was the stand-up guest. He was ok.
Fiona Gubelmann was the second couch guest. She’s on the show Wilfred. The interview was also great. Fiona was pleasant, energetic and had a wonderful sense of humor. Craig spent as much time as he could flirting with her, and then calling himself out on it. It was pretty amusing. Fiona was a really good sport about it too. Here’s the interview:
The closing segment was a nice conclusion with Fiona:
Very entertaining show. If Nick’s set had been better I think it would have been perfect. I give it:
– Woody
So Meg gave birth when she was 8 yrs old?(not funny nor makes sense)
Not sure if trolling or just no sense of humor… =.=
