Late Late Show Highlights
This week the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is broadcasting the shows it filmed in Paris earlier in the year. It’s a pretty unique event, so I’m going to post all the clips from last night’s show so you can watch the whole thing. If you’re low on time or only want to watch the best segments you can read my comment before each clip and decide if it’s worth watching.
The pre-opening credit segment was entertaining. It’s really a good example of Ferguson’s sense of humor, which can be summed up by the store behind him:
There wasn’t a monologue per se, but Craig did a fabulous job cracking jokes while walking around and talking about the Louvre. If you only watch one segment from this show, this should be the one:
This next segment was meant to be more sweet than funny, and it was. For me, however, it was also boring. I guess I’m just not in a romantic mood:
Jean-Michel Cousteau was the first guest. He is an explorer and educator, much like his father Jacques Cousteau. The segment was funny and even a little educational. Craig and Jean-Michel had great chemistry:
The next segment was Craig tasting different cheeses. It had its moments, but if you skip it you’re really not sacrificing much:
Jean Reno was the second guest again. Pieces of Craig, Jean and Kristen’s meal together have been in all three Paris episodes so far this week. This time they discussed French literature. It was pretty interesting:
The closing segment takes place back at the studio and includes Dr. Who’s Matt Smith. It’s ok, but, again, if you’re low on time you can skip this one:
Really good show and extra bonus points added for being in Paris. I give it:
