Conan Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:
Chris Hanson, the host of To Catch A Predator, was caught cheating on his wife with a woman 20 years younger than him. Yeah, Hanson knew something was up when he walked into his kitchen this morning and he was already there waiting for himself.
Earlier today Lindsey Lohan had her house-arrest bracelet removed. Then, when no one was looking, Lohan slipped the bracelet into her pocket.
Legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin is now single. He’s been going to a lot of bars and asking ladies if they want to take one giant leap onto his mankind.
The desk segments were a scene from the new Captain American movie and a response to a quote from Michele Bachmann. The later was funny enough to suggest watching:
Liv Taylor was the first couch guest. She stars in the upcoming film The Ledge. The interview was pretty good. Liv was great and Conan was quite funny. I enjoyed her appearance here a lot more than when she was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in March. In that interview Jimmy focused too much on Liv’s father. Conan touched on Steven, but only briefly, allowing Liv to talk much more about how her life is going. Here’s the interview:
Mark-Paul Gosselaar was the second couch guest. He’s one of the stars on the new show Franklin & Bash. Interesting, Breckin Meyer, the other star of Franklin & Bash, was on the last Conan episode I reviewed earlier this month. The interview started out very strong, but lost steam about halfway through and couldn’t retrieve the momentum. This was completely Conan’s fault. Conan had been very entertaining with his guests up to this point, and in an attempt to keep his winning streak alive he took a joke too far for too long and it just killed the interview.
Jon Dore and Rory Scovel were the stand-up guests. It was very weird, but unique and very funny. Check it out:
Good show. I give it:
