Late Late Show Highlights
How awesome is the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson? It was the only late-night show to run a new episode on Labor Day. That’s awesome!
The pre-opening credit segment was puppets. That’s “puppets” with an “s”. It was hilarious and should not be missed:
Here were my favorite monologue jokes:
It’s Labor Day. It’s now officially the end of summer. Let your bikini area explode with fall foliage.
Did you know there’s a middle school in LA that’s been named after Al Gore? It’s very impressive. There’s a gym, an auditorium and 27 cafeterias.
Here in California, today in fact, the first ever TV ads for medical marijuana were aired. And it’s quite expensive, because it costs a lot of money to buy 30 seconds during Spongebob Squarepants.
The Department of Labor has launched a new website to help unemployed Americans. President Obama said the website was amazing and he can’t wait to check it out in a couple of years
The desk segment was checking the tweets and emails (when isn’t it?). It was pretty amusing:
John Larroquette was the first couch guest. I’ve been a Larroquette fan since Night Court, but haven’t seen or heard much of him since then. It’s not that he hasn’t been working, I’ve just missed everything he’s apparently done. He’s currently acting in an off-Broadway show in New York. I’m probably going to miss that as well. The interview was pretty good. John was in a mellow mood, so Craig ended up following suit. But there were still some funny moments.
Malin Akerman was the second couch guest. She is in the new film The Romantics. She was terrific. She was a lot of fun and had a wonderful sense of humor. Overall the interview was very entertaining:
The closing segment had a couple of good laughs in it:
Great show. I give it:
