Tonight Show Highlights
Sorry I didn’t post any late night highlights last week. Now that I’m back I think it would a good idea to check in and see how Conan is doing. Apparently he’s in the mood to bash NBC. Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien:
Good evening everybody, I’m Conan O’Brien the new host of Last Call with Carson Daily.
Big local story this weekend, no one was seriously hurt, but this is true, a 6.5 earthquake hit California. The earthquake was so powerful it knocked Jay Leno’s show from ten o’clock to eleven thirty-five.
Everybody now wants to know what my plans are. All I can say is I plan to continue putting on a great show night after night, while stealing as many office supplies as humanly possible.
Winter Olympics are coming up. This is true; NBC announced that they expect to lose two-hundred million dollars on the Winter Olympics next month. Yeah. Folks, is it just me or is that story hilarious?
And then there was this:
And this:
The desk segment was The Tonight Show Audiencey Awards, which honors excellence in the sitting and looking arts. I wish they posted the clip cause it was pretty funny. Oh well.
Gary Oldman was the first couch guest. He’s in the new movie The Book of Eli, which opens Friday. I really like Gary. I think he’s a terrific actor and enjoy him when he’s on screen. You can have the Batman and Harry Potter films; just give me The Fifth Element. The interview was great. Here was my favorite part:
Dax Shepard was the second couch guest. He is in the new movie When In Rome. I had never heard of Dax before, but he was pretty funny. He and Conan had a good exchange. Here’s a clip:
Vampire Weekend was the musical guest. Their new album comes out today. They were good.
Great show. I can only hope for many many more. I give it:
– Woody
I opine that to receive the from creditors you must have a good motivation. Nevertheless, one time I have received a consolidation loan, just because I was willing to buy a car.
