Late Late Show Highlights
I didn’t have the opportunity to record last night’s Late Show. So I figured I’d do the next best thing and watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I’m glad I did. Craig’s opening ramble was very funny and worth watching:
The monologue was great. If you want to watch the nine minute unabridged version you can go . Otherwise, here were my favorite jokes:
Did you know over the weekend a man dressed as Santa Claus robbed a Pennsylvania bank? Police describe the robber as armed and merry. According to witnesses the man walked into the bank and said, “Ho ho ho-ld up your hands where I can see them.” Police say the robber could strike again, so you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout and I’m telling you why, cause Santa Claus might put a cap in your ass.
Today Virgin Galactic unveiled their first space ship for tourists. They’re targeting very very rich people who want to leave the planet. The first passenger on the list at the moment is Tiger Woods. Found out today that mistress number eight, who’s going to come out tomorrow, is a cocktail waitress like numbers two and six. And mistress number nine is rumored to be a TV personality. I’m just hoping it’s me. Sports experts are saying that these affairs may permanently change the way we look at golf. And I think that’s true cause I’m already finding it more interesting.
The desk segment was viewer email. It was ok. Apparently Craig is ranked number 1 in a Canadian magazine poll of late night talk show hosts women want to sleep with. Lucky. Oh, and the best way to get high is doing good in your community.
Shirley Manson was the first couch guest. She is the lead singer of the band Garbage and is also an actress. After watching the interview I have now solved the mystery as to why I enjoy listening to Garbage. Turns out it’s because Shirley is totally awesome! The interview was terrific and I highly recommend it. Warning: it leans into NSFW territory often.
Mitch Albom was the second couch guest. He has done quite a bit of stuff, but is probably best known for authoring the NYT best-sellers Tuesdays with Morrie and Have a Little Faith. I was really impressed with Mitch. He’s a very interesting person who has accomplished a lot but still feels like he has a lot more to do. The interview was very good. You can watch it .
Craig ends his show with a segment called What Did We Learn On The Show Today Craig. It was very funny:
Great show. I give it my highest rating:
