Late Show and Late Night Highlights
Anyone see the Late Show with David Letterman last night? His guests were the strongest part of the show.
Dave’s first guest was Zac Efron. I’ve never seen any of those High School Musical things, and I’m not a 15 year-old girl, so I don’t really know much about Zac. I thought maybe he was going to be pretty immature and stupid. Instead, I was reasonably impressed by his relaxed demeanor and thought he handled himself well.
His next guests were Mike and Mike from ESPN. I’ve never listened to Mike and Mike, and I’m not a sports enthusiast, so I don’t really know much about these guys either. I thought maybe they were going to be loud and obnoxious, but they were really cool guys and they’re time with Dave was enjoyable to watch.
The musical guest was AC Newman with Nicole Atkins. I’ve never listened to either one of them before, and, you guessed it, I don’t really know much about either of them. I guess I really need to get out more. Overall, the performance was solid.
A couple of quick highlights from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:
This is very sad, the man who created Dungeons and Dragons died last week. He was buried in a twelve-sided coffin.
A glitch on Amazon.com has caused gay and lesbian themed books to be removed from the system. Said one gay author, “Glitch please!”
I wish they would invite me to consult on the show so I could warn them when a segment is too long and not funny. I would do it for free. Well, almost free.
The air hockey game between Fallon and his first guest Denis Leary was pretty funny.
