Arsenio Hall Show Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Arsenio Hall Show:
How are you all? I’m Arsenio Hall. By the way, while you were just applauding, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs changed his name again.
A prison inmate in Baltimore named Tavon White got caught running a gang behind the bars. He had four female guards pregnant. He pled guilty to racketeering charges and faces an additional twenty years in jail, though he asked for thirty.
There were no comedy segment bits.
Sean Combs was the first couch guest. He is, among many other things, an entrepreneur. The interview was very good. Sean was laid-back, thoughtful and sincere. Arsenio began by asking Sean to describe what a typical day was like for him, which is a great conversation starter, and something I wish more late-night talk show hosts would do with their guests. I also liked that Arsenio focused on Sean’s work ethic and family. There was one big mistake however: Arsenio ended the segment with a comedy bit that I thought failed miserably. I wish I could post the entire interview, but for some unfathomable reason it’s not available, so here’s most of it in annoying clip form:
Tisha Campbell-Martin, Shahidah Omar, Nicole Ari Parker and Cynthia Kaye McWilliams were the second couch guests. They have guest roles on the show Real Husbands of Hollywood. The interview was entertaining. The ladies were friendly, energetic and funny. I enjoyed and appreciated their positiveness towards themselves, each other and the men in their lives. The whole interview is worth watching, but, once again, isn’t available. Here, unfortunately, is all I could find:
Theo Von was the stand-up guest. He was hilarious:
Great show. I give it:
