Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!:
The Great Bruce Willis is with us tonight. If terrorists try and take this show hostage they have a hell of surprise coming.
I have a lot of questions for Bruce tonight. Not the least of which is, “Why are you the only white guy in the world who looks good with a shaved head?”
Today was the second day on which the Supreme Court heard arguments for and against same-sex marriage. I hope they legalize gay marriage soon, mostly because I need to be alive when Gay Divorce Court hits the air.
The comedy segment was a bunch of random bits that would have fit a lot better in the monologue. I’m not sure why they weren’t. Here they weren’t entertaining enough to recommend watching.
Bruce Willis was the first couch guest. He’s in the new film G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The interview was great. This opinion is biased by the fact that I love Bruce and think he’s a terrific guy. He’s always full of energy and a lot of fun when he’s a guest on the Late Show. He was considerably mellower with Kimmel, but still a fantastic sport. Here’s the interview:
Zendaya was the second couch guest. She is a contestant on the current season of Dancing with the Stars. The interview was enjoyable. Zendaya was pleasant and had a nice sense of humor. Kimmel, however, was the real star. He was hilarious. Here’s the interview:
Divine Fits was the musical guest. They were fine.
