Late Late Show Highlights

This week the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is broadcasting the shows they filmed in Scotland a month or two ago. Similar to the Paris episodes last year I’m posting last night’s entire show so you can watch the whole thing. If you’re low on time and only want to check out the best segments you can read my comment before each clip and decide if it’s worth watching.

The cold open took place in the show’s LA studio. Craig and a group of hooligans performed the song Scottish Rite Temple Stomp. It was fun, but you won’t miss anything if you skip it:

The monologue was great. It was at and about Glamis Castle. Craig typically focuses on one subject at length during his monologue, so it worked really well for him to actually be in the place he was talking about:

I really enjoyed Craig and Mila Kunis walking around Glasgow’s Necropolis. The conversation was inane, but Mila is just so darn adorable, and she and Craig are good together:

My favorite segment of the show was Craig and Michael Clarke Duncan in Craig’s hometown of Cumbernauld. Craig tells a great story, the kids acting it out are funny and Michael giving Craig a hard time was hilarious:

The show goes downhill a little bit at this point. First, Craig walked along the beach with Rashida Jones. It was meh. Then he then kinda formally interviewed Ariel Tweto. She is on the show Flying Wild Alaska. The interview was ok, but Ariel just didn’t have a lot to offer:

Evening Crumpets with Rashida Jones, David Sedaris and Ariel Tweto at Glamis Castle was weird. The topics of conversation were colostomy bags, The Secret and amputees. I wouldn’t blame you if you skipped it. I kinda wish I had skipped it. If you want to hear a song from , however, forward the clip to the five minute mark:

The closing segment involved letting Secretariat run free with her own kind. It was ok, but fine if you skip it:

Pretty good show. I’m giving it extra points for being in Scotland:
