You Can Dance If You Want To, But You Ain’t No Friend Of Mine
Every once in a while the urge hits to do the happy dance.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last night by going out to dinner. We decided to try this nice little hole in the wall place in our neighborhood that we had walked by a few times. The window said it specialized in “neo v cuisine.” It turned out, we discovered after sitting down, that the “v” stood for “vegan.”
Now, I’ll admit, I had the urge to run, but we decided to give it a shot and call it an adventure. And I’m glad we did cause we had a fun time. The food was good, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. So, if you think about it, this story is very similar to the institution of marriage. Two people make a plan, things change unexpectedly, you work as a team to make the best of it and you have as much fun together as possible while sharing a journey.
And then, the next morning, you have seven bacon, egg and cheese biscuits at McDonald’s. You know, for balance and stuff.
