A friend asked me if I had received a lei when I got off the plane in Hawaii. I told him neither I nor anyone else received one. He was shocked and more than mildly disappointed. I informed him that these things don’t happen in real life, and that he has been unfairly influenced by the classic television show Fantasy Island, which is understandable because Ricardo Montalban was such a sharp dressed man.
So, the moral of this story is that you shouldn’t go to Hawaii expecting to get lei’d.

WTF?? Are you serious Ben? That is a load of crap, I’m taking Hawaii off my list!
I need to call my virgin cousin before he buys his ticket…
Well you might not have gotten lei’d at the airport in Hawaii, but someones’ about to get waylaid when they wake up Crowbar. Like my transition tying both post and comic together with lei’d/laid…yeah, I’m cool that way. Or at least that’s what my mom tells me.
This is honestly one of my favorites of your comics, because of it’s brilliance and sheer simplicity.
