Back To Roger
I was a teenager when I started seeing previews for a new movie called Back to the Future. I remember thinking that the film looked really stupid. I loved NBC’s Family Ties, so I was concerned that Michael J. Fox’s acting career was going to fall as fast as it had risen.
But then Siskel & Ebert said it was a great movie. Never one to question when they agreed on something, I went and saw it. I was blown away at how good it was. It was the perfect combination of story, action, science-fiction and humor. If you’ve never seen it I highly recommend it. It’s a little dated, but honestly I think it holds up pretty well to this day. Want to decide for yourself? Here’s the scene that today’s comic is based on:
- Ben

THE LIBYANS!!!
Also great work on today’s strip guys. Paul did a great job on capturing the scene. Back to the Future is one of my top movies.
Thanks Sean, glad you enjoyed it.
I keep hearing about a remake. I hope they don’t remake it. The original was better than anything today’s Hollywood would make.
Easily top 5 most watched movies as a kid growing up through the 90′s.
Right next to Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Back to the Future is one of those rare nigh-perfect movies. Now, that doesn’t mean it’s one of the all-time greatest movies or anything, but that there’s nothing about it that should be fixed or changed. Everything makes sense within the context of the film and there’s no filler or dragged out scenes.
