Late Night Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:

There are reports that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently bought the four houses around his home so that he can have extra privacy. Man, he is gonna be so pissed when somebody tells him about curtains.

LeBron James said he wants to play in at least one NFL game. His fans were like, “When would you have time?” And the Giants were like, “When can you start?”

A new study found that ancient cave art from forty thousand years ago was mostly done by women. So, in other words, even back then men didn’t have a say in decorating.

The comedy segment bit was “Screen Grabs”. It’s basically Leno’s “Headlines” bit, but for the digital age. The content by itself was ok, but when combined with Higgins’ hilarious commentary the segment is worth watching:

Alec Baldwin was the first couch guest. He is the host of Up Late and in the upcoming film Seduced and Abandoned. The interview was terrific. Alec was friendly and told an amusing story or two. They discussed their new babies and Alec’s film and television show. After the break they did a sketch called “Point Pleasant Police Department”. It was so hilarious that my insides hurt from laughing so hard:

Kevin Connolly was the second couch guest. He directed the new documentary Big Shot. The interview was good, but way too short. Kevin was nice and had some interesting stories. I’m not a fan of the New York Islanders, but was still fascinated by the little history snippet that Kevin shared. I just wish he had more time to talk about it.  Here’s the interview:

Chris Cornell, Scott Avett and Seth Avett were the musical guests. They kicked off Pearl Jam Week with a cover of “Footsteps”. It was a nice performance:

Great show. I give it:
