Conan Highlights

TBS has renewed Conan through 2015, so I guess he’s not going anywhere for a while. Oh wait, yes he is. Conan is doing his show in Atlanta this week. Let’s see how his first night went.

Here were my favorite monologue jokes:

Hello Atlanta. I want to welcome everyone who couldn’t get a ticket to tonight’s Braves game.

Let me tell you how I came to be with you this evening. My bosses at TBS here in Atlanta told me I could do a week of shows anywhere in the world, so I told them Paris, France. And they said, “Atlanta it is!”

This whole week we’ve moved the show from Los Angeles to Atlanta. Think about it. We have gone from the town where they make hundreds of movies a year to the town where they make hundreds of Tyler Perry movies a year. They made three as I was saying that joke.

Did you know that Atlanta’s number one employer is Delta Airlines? In honor of that tomorrow night’s show will be delayed by two hours.

The comedy segments were Jack McBrayer’s April Fools’ Prank, General Sherman Finally Gets His Just Desserts and The Georgia Peach Battles the Florida Orange. Surprisingly, none of these were very entertaining. I feel kinda obligated to post at least one clip, though, so here’s the bit I enjoyed the most:

Seth Rogen was the only couch guest. He is in the upcoming film This Is The End. The interview was great. I like Seth a lot. His humor is right up my alley. Not surprisingly, I thought he was very funny and told some interesting stories. Here’s the second-half of the interview:

Earthquake was the stand-up guest. He was ok.

Good show. I give it:
