Tonight Show Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Thousands of dead fish of washed up on shore on the coast of South Carolina. And today the NRA said this wouldn’t have happened if those fish had had guns.

Ann Romney, the lovely wife of Mitt Romney, has reportedly turned down a chance to appear on Dancing with the Stars. She said she loves to dance, and she’s a big fan of the show, but she’d rather stay home with the biggest loser.

A doctor in Germany is being sued by the family of a patient who died after sixteen items were left inside him after surgery. The doctor said he felt terrible, he tried to call the family but couldn’t find his cell phone.

It turns out Miss New York, Mallory Hagan, who is our new Miss America, is originally from Alabama. She’s only lived in New York for four years. And you can tell she was from Alabama, like in the talent competition, she scored twice on Notre Dame.

The comedy segment was Jay Walking. I don’t know, I just don’t know. I’ll let you decide if it’s entertaining:

Mark Wahlberg was the first couch guest. He stars in the new film Broken City. The interview was good. He was friendly and told some amusing stories. I like Mark and think he’s a cool guy and talented actor. And I appreciated that he stayed for the rest of the show and interacted with the other guests. Here’s the second-half of the interview:

Ali Wentworth was the second couch guest. She’s an actress, comedienne and star of Daily Shot with Ali Wentworth. The interview was, shall we say, a mouthful. Ali likes to talk, and she’s not shy about discussing whatever, even if it’s an entire segment on sickness and vomiting. I really like her sense of freedom and desire to try and make any and all stories as humorous as possible. Granted, she doesn’t always succeed, but at least she tries. Here’s the interview:

Jjamz was the musical guest. They were decent.

Fine show. I give it:
