Late Show Highlights
Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Late Show with David Letterman:
Have you seen some NFL Football? Many of the teams have new uniforms this year, and players are already complaining that the new uniforms make them look fat. The New York Jets are upset. They’re claiming that their uniforms make them look like New York Jets.
You know who’s on the program tonight is former senator from Pennsylvania Rick Santorum. It’s the first of our three televised debates.
Because Rick Santorum is in town, by the way, just for today only the hookers in Times Square are only selling cookies.
The comedy segment was Top Ten Signs You Have a Bad Debate Moderator. It was ok:
Tina Fey was the first couch guest. She stars on the show 30 Rock. The interview was great, but I’m a huge Tina Fey fan so my view may be slightly bias. Tina was delightful, funny and told some very amusing stories. She, as usual, was top-notch. Again, these observations may be a tad subjective. Here are some interview clips:
Rick Santorum was the second couch guest. He is a former Pennsylvania senator and candidate for the Republican nomination for US President. The interview was fine. Rick spoke well, explained his positions and even had a sense of humor. I disagree with Rick on many issues, and I honestly think he’s a jerk, but I do appreciate his willingness to be on the Late Show and discuss divisive topics with Letterman. That takes guts, and I respect it. Here are some clips:
