Jimmy Kimmel Live! Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!:

The playoffs round of March Madness finished up tonight, and tomorrow the tournament gets started for real. I love this party: 36 games in four days, followed by St. Patrick’s Day. What they’re calling “madness” in reality might just be alcohol poisoning.

Over the course of the next three weeks CBS will take in more than six hundred million dollars in ad revenue from the games. Of which the players receive…what’s zero percent of six hundred million?

Last night was a big night for Rick Santorum. He won primary elections in both Mississippi and Alabama. Mitt Romney, who’s the front runner, came in third in those states, which is weird – normally the South is very welcoming to wealthy Northerners.

Jonah Hill was the first couch guest. He is in the new film 21 Jump Street. The interview was entertaining. Jonah was energetic and told some funny stories. I’ve seen Jonah in a few movies now and find him to be a likeable guy. He’s not a great actor, but he is a good one, and I appreciate that he puts a lot of energy into trying to make people laugh, even if the joke is on him. Here’s the first half of the interview:

Busy Philipps was the second couch guest. She is on the show Cougar Town. The interview was good. Busy was pleasant and good-humored. She and Jimmy got along decently well. Here’s the second half of the interview:

The Crystal Method featuring Martha Reeves was the musical guest. They did a nice job.

Fine show. I give it:

– Woody
