Conan Highlights

Here were my favorite monologue jokes from last night’s Conan:

Today is the 67th anniversary of D-Day. That’s the day the Allies landed at Normandy Beach during World War II. Or, as Sarah Palin calls it, the day the Nazis fought the Vikings.

It’s been reported that there is a new temporary leader of al Qaeda. Frankly, I was surprised they went with Ashton Kutcher.

A woman in Oregon awoke from dental surgery to find that she had a British accent. Yeah, doctors are calling it the first reported instance of someone with a British accent doing something about their teeth.

There’s an anti-circumcision comic book out now. It features a superhero called Foreskin Man. That’s true. And trust me, you don’t want to see his cape.

The desk segment was Conan taking the US citizenship test. It was ok, but can be skipped.

Ice-T was the first couch guest. He’s one of the stars of Law and Order: SVU. The interview was entertaining. Ice-T is a colorful guy who has lived a rather colorful life, so he always has interesting stories to tell. Here’s the interview:

Breckin Meyer was the second couch guest. He’s one of the stars on the new show Franklin & Bash. The interview was pretty good. Breckin is pretty charismatic and has the ability to make every day stories fun to listen to. Here’s the interview:

Flogging Molly was the musical guest. They were good.

Fine show. I give it:
